A few months before starting the collection, I experimented with resin and fabric. I was captivated by how the resin captured and solidified the fabric, freezing something dynamic and fluid in time while stripping the material of its flexibility. Once dried, the fabric encased in resin reminded me of ancient marble statues—visually dimensional and full of movement, yet hard and unyielding to the touch.
For my A/W '24 collection, I drew inspiration from ancient Athena and Artemis statues. I wanted to represent warrior women by combining hard resin to symbolize the armor women wear to face daily challenges with soft, flowing chiffon to reflect their feminine strength and grace.
Another focus of the collection was blending an impractical garment with a commercially viable piece, as seen in the pairing of the resin piece with a more wearable bottom.
